HVAC not working properly

Air blows fine in the car, but when it's cold out it will take long to heat up and when it's hot out it will not cool down. no check engine lights or anything come up . was to get it checked at the dealer but want to avoid a large diagnostic bill on top of getting repairs.

Good morning,

This sounds like the thermostat is stuck open not allowing the engine to heat up quickly to produce heat.

I would start there. There are 3 different locations that vary depending on the V6 you have.

Hey Roy, it always doesn’t cool down the air conditioning either. had an issue when i first purchased the vehicle where the air compressor went out and the warranty covered and replaced it.

Okay, got it. That will have no effect on it heating up in the mornings.

Roy, would it possibly be something else because it wont blow cold air either when it's hot out? maybe need an A/C recharge? i have had the car since November of 2015, the old air compressor got replaced June-July 2016.
