My air conditioner stopped working last year, I had it recharged at the time, but it didn't fix it. I've also had it leak checked, but no leaks. I've also noticed my idle sometimes hunts, don't know if it's related?
I've used your air conditioner trouble shooting guide, very good by the way. In order: fuse was fine, gas had completely run out so I recharged it. Still no cold air in the cabin, but I can hear a clicking (solenoid? ) and the engine note changes, as if cycling on and off. Did a voltage check on the cable on the front of the compressor, 16-18mV aircon switched off, 50+mV aircon switched on.
I'm thinking this means my compressor is knackered, does this sound right to you?
