Air temperature sensor connector location needed

I just bought a new air temperature sensor because i had a P0113 code (Intake Air temperature circuit high input). i took off my bumper to replace it and i couldn't find the connector. I believe the male and female part are cut off. Can anyone tell if i am missing the connector and sensor? and if so where can i get a replacement connector and would i just strip down the wires and connect it like that?

Hello there. From what I can tell, the intake air temperature sensor (IAT) is built into the mass airflow sensor (MAF), and not located behind the bumper. According to the image that I pulled from AllData, it's on the air duct that goes between the air cleaner box and the engine intake. I'm including an image to show you where it is. Also, if possible, of like a picture of the party that you have so I can try to identify what it actually is.

Okay, I see that part is an intake air temperature sensor but it does not fit your car. I looked it up with AutoZone and they showed me that part that you have there. But Alldata, who is much more reliable than AutoZone, shows it to be built into the mass air flow sensor. I'm attaching the diagnostic information from AllData so you can see what I'm seeing.

Run through that diagnostic and then return the sensor that you have. We'll go from there.

Okay, so i need to return the 1 I got and get a new MAF sensor?

Yes. I believe so. I suggest you take that MAF into the store with you and make sure you get a matching part.
