I had the air mass flow light on and I bought a new one and got it installed. later the light went on and my dad unplugged the computer system from the car and it didn’t show and it showed again yesterday. He unplugged the computer system from the car again and the sensor doesn’t show anymore. Should I be worried and buy a new sensor?

Hello my name is Dave.

It sounds like your dad is resetting the system which is clearing the code and once the computer runs that monitor again, in other words checks on the performance of the sensor, it once again finds a problem and illuminates the light to let you know there is a problem with it.
Can you get the code and give it to us to so we can help you determine the actual cause of the problem since it doesn't appear that the issue is with the actual sensor therefore it could be in the wiring or even an internal issue with the computer.
We look forward to hearing back from you with the code and thank you for using 2CarPros!
