Guys, I got a strange one. Whenever I push the gas quickly I hear a hissing sound and it looks like the air intake fills with too much with air (don't think that's normal). It's really hard to describe in words but a video tells the whole story. :)

The car is European (Seat Toledo - 2002) but the engine is the same one as you have on the VW Golf 2.3 V5 170 bhp

Hi and thanks for using 2CarPros.

That is an interesting one. Just for curiosity, where does the PCV connect to the intake on this vehicle?

Let me know.

Hi Joe,

Good question! :) I didn't know i have one and it's the first time I hear about PCV. I had a read now about what this valve does and it does sound like a good suspect to me. Now I need to locate where and it. I will get back to you.

A PCV draws crankcase pressure from inside the engine and allows it to be reburned in the combustion chamber. It is basically a release point for the crankcase. Just for the heck of it, start the engine with the oil fill cap off. That will release crankcase pressure. See if that makes a difference.
