Hi and thanks for using 2CarPros.com.

I believe that Toyota did not start putting them in until 2001. However, if it does have one, it will be behind the glove box. Here is a link that shows in general how to replace one. You can check.

Let me know if this helps or if you have other questions.

Take care,
Joe

Yes thanks, I will be checking it out. Now, for my next question, sorry for so many. My battery post (positive side) the base of it, have a bit more than a hairline crack, actually, it is on the battery itself, is that normal for a battery to be like that? Seems as if that is what helps it corrode quickly. Is that normal, I do not remember seeing one like that before. Thanks for your help!

Hi again. No, there should not be any cracks. Can you upload a picture of the crack so I can see exactly what it is?

Let me know.

Glad to help. Honestly, there should not be any cracks in the top of the battery. Please remember that when a battery is being charged, it produces hydrogen, which is explosive. If you have to jump start the vehicle for any reason, make sure to follow the manufacturer's directions to avoid making sparks.

Again, let me know if I can help.

Take care,
Joe
