How do I remove the air filter housing?

How do I take off the air filter housing on the vehicle listed above?

Hi,

There should be a wingnut at the top center of the housing holding the lid in place. Remove that nut and remove the cover and air filter element. (See pic below)

Once they are removed, there are a few hoses that need to be disconnected including vacuum hoses under the assembly. I don't recall there ever being anything holding the housing onto the carb other than the aforementioned wingnut.

Hi,

You are very welcome. I hope it helps you. As far as the filter is concerned, it's in the carburetor right behind the fuel inlet.

I attached the directions below for the replacement.
