To remove the door actuator you will need to pull the dashboard back.

this guide will help then check out the diagrams below for your car.

There are a minimum of three different actuators that operate air doors and as of yet the poster has not specified which actuator he is looking for or what problem he is trying to resolve.

Hello,

The blend door actuator you want to change is on top of the heater box. Here is a guide and a diagram (BELOW) that shows you where it is and how to change it.

Please let us know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed.

Cheers, Ken

So based on what I have read it looks like I will need to replace the actuator that controls the left (driver-side) vents which is located on the top of the heater box (blows cold for a while, then blows hot sometimes turning the car off and on again will get it to blow cold again for a little while).

Anyway, it seems all the instructions, photos and videos (including the ones at the link provided above) are not for this actuator except for one that shows where it is located. Any detailed instructions since it is in a more inaccessible location than the lower actuator? Also, are all the actuator's the same? I do not want to order the wrong one for my repair.

Does your car have split temperature controls? If so what year is your car? I do not think they had dual control in 1994.
