Air conditioning Recall?

Hi there, I know there was a recall on GLE for air condition compression hoses that leak. My air conditioning has just stopped working on one side of the car and the mechanics have said it’s due to a leaking evaporative hose.
Could this issue be related to the recall?

If you had a leak in the system, it would not produce cold air on either side. To me it sounds more like you have a blend door actuator that has failed and is not moving the blend door flap that controls the temperature. Here are the locations for both right and left side temperature controls so you can check it out. Check out the images (below).
