Air conditioning failure

Good afternoon,

Are you sure it is not coolant from the heater core? If it did, and the car got hot, the ECM will not allow compressor operation.

Did you test the Freon pressures? You need to see if there is any pressure in the system.

I would also pressure test the cooling system as well.

Hey Roy, hope all is well. thank you for your advice Perry on the Jaguar you was absolutely correct it is something to do with the heater core for heater hose . Because the air condition it's full of Freon so it wasn't Freon that came in my car. I just thought it was because A/C went hot I guess.. I am not a mechanic don't know too much about cars, but I do know there's something. I'm going to have to find a video and fix myself. any help would be appreciated. Kenny

Okay, I attached the procedure below with some pictures. It is very tight under the dash but take your time. Remove the glove box and the heater box is right there.

Removal

1. NOTE: If a leak is suspected, the heater core must be leak tested in the vehicle before removal.

Drain the cooling system.

2. Disconnect the drain tube from the heater core.

3. Disconnect the heater hose from the heater core.

4. Disconnect the heater hose from the heater core.
5. Remove the center console.

6. Position the heater core air duct up.
1. Remove the heater core air duct retaining screw.
2. Position the heater core air duct up.

7. Remove the heater core air duct housing.
1. Remove the heater core air duct housing retaining screws.
2. Remove the heater core air duct housing.
Release the retaining tabs.
Right-hand side shown, left-hand side similar.

8. Remove the heater core housing retaining clips.
Right-hand side shown, left-hand side similar.

9. Remove the heater core housing
Release the heater core housing retaining tabs.
Right-hand side shown, left-hand side similar.

10. Remove the seal.

11. Remove the heater core retaining screw.

12. Remove the heater core.


Installation
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

Hey Roy, awesome thank you very much. I think I can do that. I've changed the upper manifold is and lower manifold gaskets, o-rings, ignition coils and all that just from looking at videos. The hardest thing for me was finding the truck Ranch. But I will keep you informed, hopefully I can get to it tomorrow thank you, you guys are awesome.

Good morning Roy hope all is well. I ran the Jaguar yesterday in the yard and let it overheat I noticed the fan did not kick on so that had to be steam that came through the vent. I'm thinking it's the fan control module because I had a new fan put on about a year ago. And I replace the fan control module with a used one about a year ago also . What do you think? Kenny oh and nothing leak out.
