Clutch does not engage when A/C is turned on, from cockpit, no change in motor RPM's. Switched relays, same result, used a jumper and A/C clutch engaged. Pressure on low side about 50 to 70 psi. Does this situation point towards the pressure switches?

Good afternoon,

Where did you jump it to get the clutch to engage?

You will need to do electrical checks to determine the failure. I will attach the diagram below. Check the fuses listed for power on both sides as they feed the relay. The relay is grounded by the module when it gets the correct signals from the pressure switches.

Do you have the high side reading? The low side is very high. It should be 25-30 lbs only.

Roy I pulled the relay, and used a jumper wire to get the clutch to engage ! I would think that the electrical connection from the fuse/relay box to the clutch must be good if I was able to do this, and I am leaning toward the pressure switch ?

No, you need to verify both powers at the relay first. Without both powers, the system will not work.

Please check for two power sources and let me know.
