Do you mean the blower motor is not working or that you have no cold air from the A/C?

no the blower works, i meant i can feel warm air coming from the under the dash, even when nothing is on. there is cool air when the AC is on, but when i stop at a red light it blows warm air. I had the AC Freon checked last fall and the mechanic said the Freon levels were okay. recommended a new compressor, since it is winter and I have not been running the air. the other day i felt warm air coming from under the dash.

so my question thinking, are there other blend doors that might be stuck open letting in warm air from the heater part of the system?

If the pressures were good, why did he recommend a new compressor? Does not make sense.

You need another opinion. it does sound like low Freon in the system. I would have that checked first.

As far as the modes. there is a mode door actuator that controls the direction of flow.

thanks for the honest reply. i do not know what is good Freon pressures. i removed the blend door a few months back as it was making noises, i took apart a put some Vaseline on the gears, seems to have fixed that issue. i will take to another shop to have the pressures checked again.

Okay, got a diagram of the mode door actuator. It is under the left side of the dash above the gas pedal toward the center.

I do the same thing. I use light lube grease which does not freeze. it keeps the plastic gears from jumping out of their slots.
