My A/C was making a strange knocking sound from what seemed to be underneath the dash by the front passenger side trim/foot-well. this was not stopping ta/C from working but was making odd sounds here and there, but still allowed all the settings to work accordingly.
The A/C now outputs no air flow at all and zero heat from any vent? the car is mk4 SEAT IBIZA 6L 1.2 12v sx. any help would be amazing.

Hello,

It sounds like the blend door actuator has gone out they make a clicking noise. Can you please shoot a quick video with your phone so we can hear the noise? that would be great. You can upload it here with your response. If so here is a guide to help walk you through the repair. It will be different for your car but you get the idea.

Please run down this guide and report back.

Hi Ken,

I'm having a similar problem with my Seat Ibiza. Any idea? I have attached a video too. Doesn't look like the motor has gone as it is moving okay?

Hello,

The blend door actuator gears are stripped that's why it makes that noise and doesn't work right. I would get a new actuator and install it. Thanks for the video. it seem like it is cut off a little. can you back up and retake the video so I can see how to remove the part?

Hi Ken,

Thanks! Someone else has mentioned that. I have no idea how to remove it so that would be great! Is there an easy way to find the part number or do I need to remove it first to find this? Thanks

Yes I would remove the part to get the number off of it or call the dealer to see if they have the part in stock which most of the time they will because they keep the parts that break. It looks like you will need to take apart the HVAC unit to get to it though. Please send more video of the job being done so I can see how it goes. ;)
