Airbag light is on and has a number 12 code and then it stays on the code says low battery feed. I have change the front end crash sensor, switched out battery, checked all 10 amp fuses and also tried to reset the light and it still come back to a code 12. checked all connections under the seats on the driver side and also good on passenger side good. also the sensor works that senses a passenger is in the seat and the the passenger airbag light goes off telling me the air bag is on. I tried all I know just cannot figure out the problem. is there anyway you could help me out? Surely would appreciate it. thank you

Good morning,

This code has to do with a power feed to the module for the airbag.

I attached a flow chart and description for the procedure to find the failure.

Normal Operation
During normal operation, the air bag indicator will illuminate continuously for approximately 6 seconds and then go out after the ignition switch is placed in the ON or START position and no air bag fault exists. The air bag indicator will remain illuminated continuously after 5 cycles of a lamp fault code (LFC), if a fault exists. Be sure to cycle the ignition switch and look for an approximate 6-second indicator prove-out without LFCs.

The restraints control module (RCM) will communicate diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) to the scan tool through the data link connector (DLC). If the scan tool displays NO COMMUNICATION when retrieving continuous memory DTCs, REFER to Information Bus (Module Communications Network).

Possible Causes
An air bag indicator that is illuminated continuously can be caused by:
- fuse.
- damaged ignition circuit.
- RCM disconnected from the vehicle harness.
- a loss of RCM signal ground.
- a faulted RCM.
- damaged wiring, terminals or connectors.
- a loss of RCM ignition feed.
- a faulted instrument cluster module
