I just changed oil and filter in truck. Filled with oil and went to start and won't crank or anything. The dash display says 0% oil pressure. Is there something I need to do to reset this? I reset the oil life counter. I'm thinking it's the oil pressure sensor but want to rule out any human mistakes. Is there anything I can check before oil pressure sensor to make sure? Also is there anyway to test sensor to see if it's good or bad? Oil is full new filter on. Thanks

So from what I got from your post, just to make sure I'm understanding it. The engine was starting and running fine before you changed the oil and filter. And immediately after the oil change you attempted to start the engine and it did not crank at all? I am assuming this is the case so I have a few questions for you. 1. Are you getting power at all, radio, lights etc.? 2. Any chance you had the key on wearing the battery down while you were changing oil (I like to have tunes when i work too)? when you turn the key, is there a click? or a buzz? or anything?

Sorry, that's what I get for working two things at once! ignore my previous questions! So your not seeing any oil pressure on the instrument panel when the engine is running? Resetting the oil life is the only thing you need to do after an oil change so you're good there! And I'm assuming you had no issues with oil pressure prior to the oil change. Is there any chance you may have disturbed the wiring or connector to the oil pressure switch on the oil filter housing? If not, then I would be looking at the switch as well.

Sorry this is the first notification I received about a response. Yes it was running fine changed everything said oil temp, oil percentage 100%, oil pressure 0%. Pulled batteries and turned ignition to accessory to drain any residue electricity. This worked. Thanks for reaching out and answering as you always do. Not sure why I didn't get a notification until ken responded. Cheers!
