Advised to replace lower control arms?

All 4 tires were replaced last week but they could not do the alignment and balancing due to time of day. I took it back in today for oil change and to have wheels aligned and balanced and was told that lower control arms needed to be replaced. The car has only 34,700 miles. They said that Honda was notorious for this issue. Need your advice.
