I had some clicking in my left front axle and was told it needed to be replaced. I had this done at a local, reputable shop and later that day the axle started to pull out and I lost about 4 quarts of fluid. My car made it home and I brought it back to the shop where they installed a new axle and did a BG flush.
It seemed OK for awhile and then it kept going out of gear and would go into a neutral position and just rev.
Did the installation ruin my transmission. I had it towed.

Thanks,
Danny

Hi Danny,

Did you recheck thetrans fluid level?

The replacement of the axle did not damage the trans but the loss of trans fluid would.

When the axle started to come out I added about 3 and 1/2 quarts of z1 fluid and the next day they did a bg transmission flush.
Thanks

When the fluid was low, it could have damaged the trans. Flushing is strongly NOT recommended by Honda.

Get a scan done to try to retrieve for trouble codes. Autozone provides free scanning services

Doesn't an engine light have to be on to check a code? That's what they told me at Advance Auto, thanks for your help.

The CEL need not necessarily be indicating to have any codes stored. Some codes do not trigger the CEL until it has occurred more than once.
