2005 Acura RSX Shift lock

The shifter will not come out of park without using the machanical release on the shifter calom. Was wondering if there is a relay or solenoid that could be bad? Do you know of anything else that could be causing this?

check fuse #10 and #8 under the dash and listen under the shifter for the shift lock solenoid to lock or release when you step on the brake pedal.
although... a few of the same models in the last 6 months turned out to be a faulty ECM.i would rush to see if warranty could cover the repair to save you a possible thousand or so.good luck
