2002 Acura RSX Rattling or clanking

When im driving my car there is a noise, like a rattling noise comming from under my center column were i shift my car. But it only makes the noise if i acclerate to fast, go over a bump, or turn to sharp. It sounds like its maybe a loose gear box, if that is a real problem. Im worried my car will break, and i dont have the money to repair any major problems. If you could help it would be a huge help.
