Hey guys, i have a bit of a problem here. About 2 weeks ago i got in a small fender bender in which a woman backed into the front of my vehicle. now, it wasn't a very powerful impact, and the only visual damage caused was on the bumper and the left front fender above the wheel well. Now, two weeks later, i was confident enough to strap up my bumper and take to the road to make sure it was running fine. However, while on the road i stated to smeel a distinct (burning) smell and when i got back to the ouse and left it idling, realized the amount of white smoke coming from the tailpipe. The smoke was constant as well. Also, the further i push down on the gas, the more smoke comes out. Now, i had left it in the garage sitting for two weeks, in which were pretty cold and damp. I thought such moisture build-up could have caused the problem, but now i'm thinking more and more that this is an unlikely cause. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Your burning coolant in the combustion chamber could be due to blown headgasket, cracked head or block-Get it block and pressure tested to find out where its leaking at.

Well, i know that is the reason for such an occurence. What boggles my mind is that how this accident could jhave caused it, I mean, my front end is not damages nor is pushed in, the rad isn't even cracked, so, i am puzzled as to how i could have cracked or damaged my block in any way. I know it wont be the head gasket, because it never had this problem up until the accident. It has to be a cracked block other wise. But, no idea how that would have a happened :S

Is there any way of performing this test on my own? And if so...where would I start?

Get a block chek-its a liquid tester that changes color if there's combustion gas in the cooling system it will show there's leakage that could be coming from a blown headgasket, cracked head and block-

Or the cooling system pressure tester
