i parked my car overnight, Wheni went back for it wouldn't start. i checked for sparks, and air intake. those are fine. I asked around, i was told that the timing belt broke. i checked the timing belt, it is not broken. What else could it be?

Hi hupty,

When the phrase " timing broke" is used, it does not mean that the belt will break off completely. Usually the teeth around the crankshaft is stripped.

You will see an intact belt but when cranking the engine, the belt will not move. If the starter cranks the engine faster than it normally would, the timing belt is most probably faulty.

When an engine refuses to start with cranking, the possibilities are too many to list.

You need to know if it is a fuel or electrical problem before we are able to start diagnosing the fault.
