I drive a 1995 Acura Integra GSR with a 1.8L b18c1 Vtec engine. Modifications include DC headers/Magnaflow Exhaust/Cold Air Intake.
Lets start with the shifting. The clutch definately feels loose, and a few of my friends suggested tightening it due to it being loose. I have no problem at all shifting through the gears when the car is stopped, but when i accellerate through the gears, they stick badly and it is very difficult to shift. When i first bought the car i had this problem and realized that the clutch fluid was really low so i filled it up and the problem was fixed. At first i thought mabey it was the clutch fluid leaking due to it being low, but i see no leaks and i dont have to refill the fluid. I also took the time to change the oil in my transmission to see if it would make a difference, but still none seen. It also makes a rattling sound, and ONLY stops when the car is put in gear. A local dealer said it seems like it might be a loose bearing in the Tranny, if so...could this be my shifting problem as well?
Maintenance Light
I was thinking it would be because of the custom exhaust, but what do you think?
