Acura hesitating

Recently, when accelerating my 98' Acura Integra GS-R (128,000 miles) from a stop, the car gurgles a bit like it doesn't want to go. Even more recently when highway driving, the car quits during acceleration for a second and then reengages. Once at a constant speed, nothing seems to happen. When idle at a stop, I sometimes get a fairly load rumbling/vibration from the engine (sounds like a car with a booming bass sound system is pulling up next to me). Within last 2 months, replaced spark plugs, air & fuel filter. I'm not automobile savvy, so I'm stuck right now. Any ideas as to what's wrong? :cry:
