1997 Acura Integra Dash lights not working?

I just bought my 97 integra GS. I noticed that the dash lights dont come on and the clock keeps reseting itself to 1:00 everytime i turn the car on. I tried looking around to see if maybe a wire was loose but i didnt know what to do. some say it could be the aftermarket cd player might need to be uninstalled and rewired again. Could it be that i have a short somewhere? How do i look for it and fix it? Also when i turn on my headlights the clock light does not dimm down. and my stereo resets as well. can yo please help me..
