1995 Acura Integra THE EXHAUST

I agree with you. It sounds like an exhaust leak. Chances are the muffler has a hole in it. The only way to check is to get under the car (making sure it is in park and the park brake is securely set) and check for evidence of rust or black marks on the outside of the system. THe black marks will indicate carbon from the engine coming from a leak.

yeah thanks i havent had time to look under there yet but the engine light came on and the car idles really low and it seems like it just might shut off...
you think it is still the exhaust or something else.

Based on your original posting I would say exhaust. Based on this, it could deal with the catylatic converter or an oxygen sensor. Both are part of the exhaust system / emission system.

Here is what I recommend. Take the car to a nationally recognized parts store and have them scan the computer for codes. If the light is on, there will be a code stored which will lead us to the problem. Also, most parts stores will scan it for free, so there is no money out of pocket for you.

Have that done and let me know what you find.
