1995 Acura Integra Help???

I have a Honda integra, Acura samething, since i'd bought the car, i have been experiencing some problems with my suspension, i have changed shocks regularly, but they don't seem to last very long on this car, when i drive i keep hearing a loub "bang' like iron to iron contact at the front and back of the car, and on the left front side i hear a sqeaky noise when i'm driving, but the worst one of all is the violent shaking the steering column makes when i driving sometime, the whole front end shakes and I nor my mechanic can seem to figure out why, well the funny thing is, whenever he gets the car and drives it, he doesn't feel it, i carried it to the alingment stand and the guy there felt it, and suggested i check the pivot, but i said to my mechanic and he's saying that it couldn't be the problems, cause if it was the pivot that was giving the problem, i wouldn't be able to drive the car. I need HEEEEELLLPPP, before this car kills me, it has already tried it once i really don't want it happening again.

Hi Integra32,

Noise problems are almost impossible to diagnose online and I can only assist in giving you some idea what to look for but I need some information to understand the problem better.

After replacement of the shocks, did the noise go away?
Did you check all the control arms bushes?
Were the stabilizer bushes and links checked/replaced?

As to the squeaky noise,

When does it occur?
Does it occur when turning the steering with vehicle stopped?
Does it occur when bumping the vehicle manually?

Does the shaking of the steering wheel occur only at specific speeds?
During acceleration, deceleration and cruising?
Have the tires been checked/balanced?
Were the CV inner joints checked?

After replacement of the shocks, did the noise go away? no it didn't, i was told that this specific year had some factory problems, in relation to the banging sounds.

Did you check all the control arms bushes? sorry i can't answer that i wasn't there when they were being changed

When does it occur? While i'm driving, but a friend of min told me to use WD40, i used it yesterday on the bushings and struts, and i haven't heard it since.

Does it occur when turning the steering with vehicle stopped? No just while the car is driving

Does it occur when bumping the vehicle manually? it occurs on bumpy roads

Does the shaking of the steering wheel occur only at specific speeds? Yes, not sure of the speed, but anything over 50 kph

During acceleration, deceleration and cruising? Yes it does

Have the tires been checked/balanced? Yes the were checked, and balanced

Were the CV inner joints checked?When i bought the car these things i haven't gotten around to changing yet, that i'll definately deal with this weekend, but my mechanic never found any problems with those specific parts.

The noise remaining after struts replacement indicates the source is not from them.

The squeaky noise disappearing after application of WD40 indicates something is brushing but the WD40 would wear out and noise would be back.

Check those area that WD40 was applied to and check for abrasions, wonr bushes or even an imporperly torqued bolt, especially for the control arms.

If any bushes are bad, they would cause squeaky and banging noises. Get the control arm bushes and links checked, not forgetting the CV shafts.
