Trying to remove the drivers side drive axle from my 94 integra, automatic.. I have the outer joint separated from the hub. The inner joint is connected to a half shaft. My manual says to pry it loose. I have tried but the axle will not separate from the half shaft. Am I missing something ? Suggestions ?

Thanks - Terry

The driver's side usually plugs into the tranny? Use two pry bars and pop it out, the entire axle assy.

On my '94 the drivers side goes into a half shaft, the half shaft goes into the tranny. I've been trying to "pop" it loose from the half shaft with no luck.

I'm sorry - when I say half shaft I mean intermediate shaft.

If the outer is the only joint you need, replace just the outerjoint and boot, Unless you can see a shear pin, or snap ring holding the axle to the intermed shaft....
