The check engine light is on and at 3 1/2 RPM's the car shakes and you can't go past 3 1/2 RPM's. What's wrong with it?

Hi LoganGold16, Get the trouble code retrieved to understand if the CEL is related to the problem. Bridge the SCS and turnignition switch ON. Count the blinking of the CEL to get the code. Quick blinks = 1. Prolonged blink = 10.

Check if the wire is hanging around somewhere. Some one took it out and did not put it back in position.

There's a yellow plug. It has three holes the one in the middle has nothing. and then in the back of the plug the two wires are leading to the 1st and 3rd hole. There is no chords or anything unconnected

That is not the correct comnnector. It is for plugging in preOBD-II scanners.

Look for another coupler nearby with only 2 pins and wires. It could be tucked up somewhere in the wireharness.

The code is 3 and 4. Code 3 stood for MAP sensor and 4 is reporting a misfire. Checked the power out of it and 5 coming in and 2.85 volts coming out. Changed spark plugs wires and rotor. No help, Slaved in new throttle assembly that didn't do anything different.

Code 3 = MAP sensor. Check the wiring and vacumn hoses. Honda MAP seldom fails though it can occur.

Code 4 = Crank Angle Sensor, not a misfiring. Crank sensor is in distributor and if faulty, you would have to replace the distributor assy.
