How many mounts are there in my car and where are they located?

Two lateral movement( torque mounts at the front)

and 3 engine/transmission mounts. One on each side of the engine/trans and one at the rear.

Any idea how to tell which one/ones are bad? How hard do you think it would be to do them?

The only real awkward mount is the rear mount.

You can tell if a mount needs to be replaced by:

-the engine is sagging to one side
-there is a lot of engine/transmission movement when load is put through the engine
-the mount is physically cracked or ripped
-the mount has bottomed out.

If its a hydraulic mount, which I'm 95% sure you do not have, you can also see it leaking fluid.

Well here is what its doing and maybe you can tell me which one is bad.

Going from park to reverse the engine jumps just a little bit and while sitting at a stop like at a red light the dash and whole front end vibrates. You can feel the vibrating in the seats it vibrates and rattles so bad. I'm hoping it's not all of them being bad but I'm sure it would do me good to replace all of them anyways. I just bought this car a week ago and I'm sure theres a bunch I need to have done to it.

Well, I bet you all of your engine/transmission mounts are weak and contributing to this problem.

To diagnose the worse mount, have somebody going through the gears so the engine load changes while you watch your engine, look at each engine mount and which ever one is really loose I would replace.
