1990 Acura Integra 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Manual

I have a brand new belt,brand new tensioner and i did my mechanical timing the timing was perfect and somehow my intake cams still skips a tooth and my cam keys are fine my crank pully key is fine and my crank pully is fine and the belt tension was fine. what is wrong with my car??

Hi JDHealey,

The distributor is driven by the exhaust cam so you would have the correct ignition timing if the exhaust cam is correctly aligned.

During installation of the timing belt, the intake cam timng was not aligned correctly.
