2001 Acura CL 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

I was trying to go home last night and I start my car push the brake to take it out of park and it won't budge. What might that be?

most likely problem is a bad brake switch.step on the brake pedal and and have someone check to see if your brake lights turn on.
you can bypass the safety feature by removing the shift lock cover with a small flathead screwdriver.it's the small cover at the base of the shifter.
insert a key or the screwdriver in the hole and you will be able to move the shifter.
