Hi Good day, I just purchased a used 1997 Acura 22cl 2 door used with apporx, 153,000 miles, it was recomended by a local mechanic to replace the timing belt(s), and water pump immediately because of the mileage and not knowing wheather it was ever done, what is the reccomended schedule for changing timing belt(s) for this model, and also what is a fair price range for changing said timing belt(s) and water pump? If we do not immediatley replace the timing belt is this model as such on that when the belt should go-does it lead to major engine damages? Also based on previous history are there any other potential common repair/maintainance issues we should be on guard for?
Please Advise
Thankd

Plus anti-freeze, shop supplies... If we do not immediately replace the timing belt is this model as such on that when the belt should go-does it lead to major engine damages? ***This model is an interference engine. If the t/belt or the balance shaft belt ever breaks, you will damage a few valves and/or pistons, to say the least.*** Also based on previous history are there any other potential common repair/maintenance issues we should be on guard for? ***F22B1 does not have any common issues (to my knowledge), but with age and mileage, you will see some normal wear and tear issues, especially from the engine and transmission. This is what I would do if I were you. Do a complete tune up (ignition, all filters and fluids). This way know you that you have restored the engine to its best condition. If you have other issues in the future, you would be second-guessing to troubleshoot the basics.***
