Brakes problem
1997 Acura CL 4 cyl Automatic 127000 miles

I hear a click and then my ABS light comes on. It used to come on and all I had to do was restart car. Now it stays on until car is off for a while, like overnight. Not having any problems with the brakes. Why is this light coming on?

Hi Laurens1, Thank you for the donation. The ABS indicator light would turn on when a fault has been detected in the ABS system. It might or might not affect the braking efficiency depending on what is wrong. You would need to retrieve the trouble codes to understand which component of the ABS is malfunctioning. Bridge the SCS connector and with ignition switch turned ON, count the blinking of the ABS light to get the trouble code.
