Hello, I am Danny.
Your truck sounds like it is having a problem with the Acceleration Pedal Position Sensor. The gas pedal in your truck does not use a manual linkage. However, It is an electrical wire including a sensor. This system is called"Drive By Wire" and that sensor is sent a message to the engine by a Potentiometer. I have attached a few pictures showing this system mounted to your gas pedal. That explains the sluggishness. Hope this helps and feel free to ask any questions if needed.Thanks for using 2CarPros.
