A/C isn't blowing any cool air when you first get in vehicle and start it up & your driving down the highway. I've drove about two miles & it starts to blow cool air. It only blows one speed & it's low, it doesn't matter if you turn the fan speed dial all the way up too high, its still just blowing low speed. If I engage the recirculate switch, you can feel the motor pull down but the cool air that was coming out isn't coming out anymore until you disengage the recirculate switch. When I shut off the van & go into a store & then get back into van & start it up again to leave, it starts all over again. I have too drive 2 miles or so before it blows out cool air again. Help me; Please it's getting HOT in Arkansas!! Thanks for any info, will be greatly appreciated

try pulling hvac fuse inside car for 60 seconds with key on it may reset actuators. then check to see if your blower resistor is good it may be the speed problem. arrow points to resistor in pic. if resistor is ok then have a mechanic scan for codes as it may be the blower motor module for speed causing problem as well.

This guide can help us fix it as well

Check out the diagrams (Below). Please let us know what happens.

Just to let all know I haven't done anything to the t&c van, I'm not a mechanic or don't know how to work on much of anything for that matter unless it's something simple like say, pulling out a fuse in a fuse box & replacing it with a new one. There is a new problem well it's not really a problem unless I'm the one trying too fix it. I had to buy brake pads for the front; Right & Left side & probably going to have to buy both of the rotors to. They'll have to be repaired very soon, because you can hear & feel the grinding of metal.... KPHOGG Saying good bye for now but I'll let you know how the AC turns out. Thanks!! Have A Blessed & Great Day!! :)

I have a 2006 T&C, the rear a.c. blows strong and ice cold. While the front of the car a.c. blows warm and sometimes will not blow air at all. I would love to fix this myself if anyone can help me out!

try pulling hvac fuse inside car it may reset the actuators if it has dual zone meaning you can control each side for ac it' s item 6 if single zone the it's item 4 in pic these are on drivers side and apanel must be removed to access. if you set the temperature like at 72 degrees then it's auto temp control and a mechanic must scan for codes to see what is happening.

When car is not in motion, ac is not cool , when it is in motion the ac is cool . What can cause this ? Could it be the compartment filter, cooling fan, or the compressor or something other than what I'm thinking ? I hope this is enough info for me to get an answer, because I'm running out of things to talk about to be able to submit my question. Thanks Johnny G.

With the ac on is the ac condenser fan on or does it com on?That would be the outter fan closest to the front grill.

is there plenty of air being pushed threw the radiator and condesor?Do you have a air compressor? Also some ac gauges would really help also.

The air conditioner will not blow cold air. I have confirmed that the fuse is not blow and switched out the horn and A/C relay to confirm that it is good. The blower also appears to be working. Any thoughts would be appreciated...

Check if it has Freon the clutch will not engage the compressor if its non existence could also be a pressure switch problem.

Here is a guide to help as well

Please run down this guide and report back.

OK I stopped at Advanced and purchased a charging kit as the compressor was not engaging. I hooked up the guage and it read no pressure of course...started charging system until compressor came on but would only hold about 15 psi...got it up to 25 psi. When I turned off air conditioner pressure guage jumped up to 100+ psi (is this normal?). Turned compressor back on and psi dropped back down to 25 psi so I called it an evening. Shut off car and hissing noise coming from back of car so I proceeded to take a look an it appears as if it is coming from where the rear compressor lines enter the back of the vehicle for the rear on the passenger side. Obviously this most likely should not be hissing. Is it possible that there is too much pressure in the line even though it is only reading 25 psi when the unit is on? Ambient Temperature is about 70 degrees so can says I should be at 35-40 psi. Could there be something clogged in the line at the rear of the vehicle? Is there an easy way to bypass the rear lines to see if I can get the front to work thus identifying the problem? Thanks, Vince

Vince, I read your note and have the exact same problem/experience with my 2001 T&C. Did you ever get a response? I charged my system with 2 cans of R134a and it gave me one cool ride to the store, then went hot again. Thats when I noticed the hissing noise from the rear ac module.

It sounds like you have a leak because this is how the system acts when low on charge. I recharged my system it works great! great guide btw ;)

it could be an actuator not working or getting stuck. you need to check fo see if it's vacuum or electric. generic pic included.

Air Conditioning problem
2005 Chrysler Town and Country V8 Automatic 88000 miles

When I am driving the AC in my van works fine and is very cold. When my van comes to a red light or drive thru where I have to idle the van idles down real low and will cut off unless I turn the AC off. If I am idle my van with the AC off i have no problems. I have also noticed that I can run the AC while my van is in the Park position and I do not have any problems then. I only have a problem when the can idles and the AC is on. Any suggestions?

It sounds like you have a bad throttle position sensor or idle air control valve. Has the check engine light come on?
