Well, AC worked fine the other day, but was not as cold when at idle. Driving it got colder, but now the clutch will not engage but you can engage an it blows cold air. My clutch fan I can stop it with my hand and the heat gauge is at 215. So my question is, if my fan is not working will that turn the AC off?

Your initial description sounds like your Freon might be low, you may have a leak (it may be small and takes a long while to affect things) .

Once it drops below a certain pressure the "low pressure switch" disengages and will not allow the power to continue through the system to turn it on (this is a safety feature to prevent damage to the system).

I got this for you from "Repair Guides" at the top right side of our pages. There are other A/C related guides in there (and other good information too)!

Will the high pressure switch on the AC make this happen? I put a new clutch fan on my vehicle and I can still stop it with my hand like the old one. What controls the fan and where is it located?

It sounds like the fan control relay is not working which will cause the AC not to work as well. Here is a guide and the location of the relay with the wiring diagram so you can see how it works:

Check out the diagrams (below). Let us know what happens and please upload pictures or videos of the problem.
