A/C recharging using R1234YF?

I just watched your video on using a vacuum pump and gauges to recharge your A/C. Your video deals specifically with R134a but my car uses R1234YF. Should the high side pressure be the same regardless of what type of refrigerant is used? Also, in your video you charged yours until it was at about 225PSI on the high side when it was 105F outside. What if it's only 80F outside? How do you know what pressure to charge it to then? Temperature affects the pressure, yes?

Yes, the video can be used with 1234YF, the pressure is slightly high though. The high side should be about 250 to 275 but remember the 1234YL is flammable so be careful. Let us know what happens and please upload pictures or videos of the problem so we can see what's going on.

Just for clarification, The R-134a video says the high side should be between 200-250PSI. What you're saying is that R-1234YF high side pressure should be between 250-275PSI, correct?

the recommended high-side pressure range for R-1234yf, the refrigerant around 250-275 psi.
