A/C compressor seems frozen

Yes, this happens when the A/C compressor is locked up which is common. I would grasp the front of the compressor to see if you can turn it (engine off). Wrench or hammer?

It should turn by hand, (engine off) if not the compressor is no good, so you will need a wrench to replace it. Try Amazon or Rock auto for the parts, stay with a name brand like Motorcraft.
