I bought my car with a locked-up A/C compressor. I changed out the compressor, flushed out 6 ounces of oil from the evaporator, replaced the condenser, drier, flushed all lines. A/C will not accept freon, won't pull it in. System is 110 psi on low and high side with compressor running by jumping the low-pressure switch with jumper wire.

Yes, I replaced orifice tube, condenser, drier, flushed evaporator and li es also. Maybe they sent me a bad compressor from the get go?? A/C clutch does spin however.

Basically, I've replaced or flushed everything I could. The evaporator has been flushed twice just to make sure it's free flowing. A/C compressor clutch spins when you jumper the low-pressure switch. Flushed lines etc. There can't or shouldn't be any obstructions?!? I can only go back to wondering if it's the remanufactured ac compressor bad from get go maybe?

In the site glass you can see the Freon just sitting in the gauges there not being sucked into the low side at all.

At this point I would agree that you may have a faulty compressor.

I'm going to swap out the ac compressor again and I'll let you know what the results are. Thanks for your insight! Fingers crossed.

Hi,

I notice we haven't heard from you for a couple of days. Have you had any luck replacing the compressor? We're interested in knowing.

Take care,

Joe
