A/C compressor

I bought a used A/C compressor for a 2002 C240 take it to my mechanic and he spins the pulley and it still made a spin sound now when you have the pulley off the car and you spin it does it make a sound or supposed to be quiet?

I am not sure I understand the question. Are you talking about the noise of the bearing? Maybe get a video of what you are looking for us to tell if it is normal or not and we can better understand. Thanks
