A/C blowing hot air like if it is in heater mode

Here in south Texas we rarely use the heater, so temperature buttons are on 68 degrees. we had a cold front and my wife switched it to heater for a few days , then when she switched back to A/C mode , it keeps throwing the same hot air. I checked it out and everything is set to A/C , even the A/C mode button is on.

Hello, it sounds like the air distribution door is stuck, or the actuator has failed. It may be stuck from not ever using it as you said. Here's a picture of the system so you have an idea where components are. To replace the actuator you have to remove the steering column according to the instructions.
