A/C blower fan running with the car off?

That is an odd one. For it to run, we have to be getting power even though it shouldn't. Here is what I need you to do. There are two fuses we need to work with to narrow things down.

I attached two pics below showing from the wiring schematic. Note there are two fuses. Here is the interesting part. Power to the blower motor comes directly to the motor from fuse from the right rear junction block. However, for that to power the blower motor, the blower control module has to provide a ground path.

Note that the ground is determined by the controller.

Before you removing any fuses, see if the wiring connector at the resister is damaged in any way. For example, see if a connector pin is bent and contacting a different pin.

If that checks good, then when it is running with the key off, remove the 10 amp HVAC blower fuse in the instrument panel fuse box. If that shuts it off, we have a short between the controller and control module (resister). If that doesn't shut it down, remove the 30 amp blower motor fuse in the right rear junction block. If that doesn't shut it, then we have a short to power from a different circuit.

Try this and let me know the results. I'm trying to narrow down possible causes. Also, make sure to check all of the connectors you connected for damage and make sure none of the wires were pinched when installing the new parts.

I forgot to mention that I also replaced the resistor connector because one terminal was burned. And I didn't solder the wires, I just meshed them together with my fingers and wrapped them with electrical tape. When I tucked them away and put the cover from the footwell area back, they were bent quite a bit at the connections. Do you think that could be the problem?

It is possible. If they are only covered with electrical tape, something could be touching. Have you rechecked the connections?
