No power to the compressor

2006 KIA SORENTO
120,000 MILES • 3.5L • V6 • 2WD • AUTOMATIC

We've changed the compressor, expansion valve and the dryer. I hooked the power from the battery to the clutch then it worked for 30 minutes then the blow off valve blew the pressure off and lost the gas. What could be wrong?

Did you supply power direct from the battery? If you did, chances are the pressure got too high and the high pressure switch couldn't cycle the compressor off. The result is what you described.

Yes, I got power directly from the battery. The wire that's going to the compressor has no power. What could be wrong?

Welcome back:

The reason it blew was because it couldn't cycle on and off with direct power. It built too much pressure. As far as no power from the supply, have you checked the relay? It is in the under hood relay box. See attached picture.
