I didn’t much Freon because the compressor didn’t come on to pull it through the system. no, I didn’t evacuates the system. I looked online and it said if my situation happens I could jump start the compressor.

Okay, first, the system must be vacuumed down to 29 inches for about 30-45 minutes. Then you can add Freon.
The internet was wrong, again. There is no need to jump-start as they say. It should come on by itself when you add Freon and the pressure goes above 20 lbs on the low side.
