A/C is stuck in defrost mode

Nothing will blow out any vents besides the defrost ones.

I will tell you, the system on your vehicle is operated by engine vacuum. Near the gas pedal is a vacuum motor which operates the floor / defroster. There will be two vacuum hoses to it. Make sure they are attached.

Here are the directions for replacement of that vacuum actuator. Also, the attached pics correlate with the directions and show location and the vacuum hoses to it.

Before just replacing it, make sure the hoses are not disconnected or damaged. If they appear good, disconnect them and start the engine. Place you finger tip over one at a time to see if you can feel vacuum at the connector.

1. Remove the bolts and position aside the accelerator pedal.

2. Remove the floor/defrost door vacuum control motor.
1 Disconnect the vacuum connector.
2 Remove the screws.
3 Rotate the floor/defrost door vacuum control motor to clear the retaining arm.

3. Remove the floor/defrost door vacuum control motor.
4. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
