Hi,

My ABS/VSES have been troubling me a lot these days. while driving above eighty kmph the stability light starts blinking and there is no power loss, upon reduce speed below sixty kmph it will stop blinking. there is no code showing up upon scanning.

Sometimes when i drive like a maniac the service stability and stability light will come on and stay until i shut down my car. This issue was scanned with code C0287 and on next start it will not come up.

please help me with this and sorry for my poor English.

Hi HABEEBAHM,

Symptom indicates a possible fault with the ABS module. It could be wiring or the module itself is at fault.
Unplug the ABS control module wire connector and check for looseness and contamination to the pins. Clean and reconnect to retest. Check for bad or poor grounds.

Hi KHLOW2008,

Just yesterday while driving on expressway all brake safety lights came on. i checked for codes and C0045, C0050 came up. Just for information my steering is not aligned, it will go to right when i try to keep steering straight.

i have attached a link of video in which you can see that stability light keeps blinking even with the system showing all warning lights.

C0045 CHEVROLET - Left Rear Wheel Speed Sensor
C0050 CHEVROLET - Right Rear Wheel Speed Sensor

The rear wheel sensors are not functioning correctly and you to check what is wrong. Could be the sensors, their wiring or even a fault with the control unit.

As to steering not centralised, check the arm bushes, steering linkages and steering mounts. Repair/replace any part that is faulty and have a wheel alignment performed.

To me it sounds like the the ABS module has gone out. Here is a guide to show you what you are in for when changing the unit out.
