ABS and RSC light is on after replacing the front hub

More than likely there is an issue with the speed sensor on that hub. I would unplug it and plug it back in to make sure it is secure. Usually, when these lights are on it is a speed sensor issue especially if you just replaced the hub. They normally come with a new speed sensor already attached or did you have to swap it over?

If you can stop by a parts store and ask that they pull the codes I am sure we can confirm this is the issue. Just make sure their tool can communicate with ABS modules. If not, then it will not pull any codes.

I know what the speed sensor that you are talking about is and I believe it is built in to the hub assembly on the 2010 Ford Explorer. I unplugged the wiring harness and reconnected it. Still has the light on on the dash. Besides the lights I get this warning "Service RCS Now". I also looked up how to do a soft reset of the codes and that didn't work either. Any ideas?

Okay. RSC is Roll Stability Control and uses speed sensors to determine if a wheel is slipping.

All is pointing to an issue with one of the speed sensors but at this point we need a scan tool to do two things. First scan for codes and it should tell us which sensor or sensors are the issue. Second it will allow us to monitor the sensor to see if it is reading.

You are correct that the actual sensor is part of the hub. But I suspect we have an air gap issue with one of the new hubs.

Either way, we are guessing until we get the codes but this screams speed sensor.
