To make a long story short, my car encounter a problem with the traction control and ABS. I had my mechanic take a look and he found no problems. He recommended that I bring my vehicle into the dealership because he said the problem was within the ABS module unit and unfortunately there was not much he could do. I called the dealership and they said the Fusion has a common problem with the modulator and replacement part is going to cost me $1,400.00 plus labor ($160.00 an hour) to install and program it. At my local junk yard they have the module and modulator unit all in one for $75.00 that would be out of the same type of vehicle as mine (2006 Ford Fusion). If I picked the part up at the junk yard would it still require to be re-programmed and is this an easy job to tackle? The internet makes it look so easy when replacing the unit as a whole.
