ABS light on and off, ABS is activating while turning with no brake pedal depressed.

I have been chasing this problem for a while, when turning without the brake pedal applied the ABS will activate and then when you try to stop the vehicle it is impossible due to the ABS being activated. I had a Check Engine light on today and the shop told me I had several codes, one being faulty brake light switch. Would this be causing the issue I am having?

you really know what codes are being sent to properly diagnose this. however if they told you switch is bad replace it. but it will need a scanner to get rid of all the codes to start over. also check battery for condition including load test as that can give false codes as well.
