abs code b1342

Is the mechanic saying that the ABS module if replaced would fix all these codes? If so, I don't think that is accurate. The first code for an internal error is for the ABS module which would need to be replaced but again, that will just address that code. The other codes appear to be separate as they all have separate testing.

I attached the info for each of these codes and then the last two are for the ABS module with part numbers.

Again, we need to clarify if they are saying that this will fix all these codes because unless they are seeing something I am not, this is not accurate.

I am sure that the ABS module that they are telling you to buy is just for the internal error code. If that is the case, then they are correct that there is no other repair for that as something inside the module has failed that cannot be repaired.

Yes. This is the picture of the entire unit. However there are two parts to it. I separated them out. So this is why we would want to clarify what they were recommending. Basically the two parts are the hydraulic portion and the electrical control module.

The first part number below is considered the module and then second is the hydraulic control unit. This code is for the module but it is almost $1,000.00 so I would want to double check what they are suggesting and what they are saying this would repair because I don't see how it will fix all the codes.

I've been doing some 'digging' myself and found out:
BL8Z-2C219-A is for the antilock control module, and AL8Z-2C215-A is listed for the ABS hydraulic control unit. They bolt into each other. Also the prices were quite 'terrifying' so that is why I want to be sure what exactly will be fixed when I buy these two parts.

So, you are saying, In need to buy the entire ABS Control Module (both components: BL8Z-2C219-A and AL8Z-2C215-A) to fix the first code B1342-20 ECU internal error.
Do I understand this correct?

Can you advise, what parts I need to buy to fix these codes:
B2872-EO Tire pressure Sensor Error
B1255-60 Outside Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Open
B1202-20 Fuel Sender Circuit Open
B228B-6F Steering Shaft Position Sensor Fault

The internal error code would only be in the module and not the hydraulic control unit. Basically that code is telling you that there is an internal error on the module circuit board. The hydraulic unit is just the portion that controls the fluid.

As for the other codes, there is unfortunately not one part that would solve those. That will require testing to determine where the open circuit is. It could be in the sensor, wiring, or control module.
